How to add Multiple Quotes to a Deal and Update Deal Amount?
Here is the basic issue I am running into:
- I create a deal and add a Quote with line items to send to client. They pay using Stripe integration, and deal moved to Closed Won via workflows. The Deal Amount is auto-updated.
- The deal is now in Closed Won stage now, and should not be moved. The quote also shows as Paid and I do not want to mess with that either.
- I now want to create a charge for an upsell or add-on. So I create a new Quote in the same deal to send to client. However, the Deal Amount is now updated for the new Quote amount, rather than ADDING the upsell amount to the total deal amount.
So the main issue I would like to solve for is this: How do I create one Deal, create add-ons and upsells, and make sure that the Amount Tracking and Invoicing stays accurate and associated? Thanks in advance for helping me out!

How to add Multiple Quotes to a Deal and Update Deal Amount?
We've used custom objects for use cases like this. The workarounds people are mentioning below for upsells and add-ons lead to messy reporting, billing, and require extra training for our clients' sales reps.
While HubSpot's continuous enhancements to products and line items are excellent, we're still often using custom objects for complex requirements to improve adoption, reporting and automation for our clients.
How to add Multiple Quotes to a Deal and Update Deal Amount?
I basically abandoned this approach as there is no good solution. We ended up creating a new pipeline for Add-Ons and making deals/quotes there. Then updating the "Main Deal" from the main pipeline with any of the add on features that got sold.
How to add Multiple Quotes to a Deal and Update Deal Amount?
I can just clone the quote and then all the line items would be in there. However, this doesn't solve my problem that I cannot
1) create a sum of all my quotes (q1 10k + q2 20k + q3 30k => 60k) Hubspot would only show 30k as my total deal amount. We don't want users having to update the deal amount by looking into all three quotes and then updating it manually. There's going to be many mistakes for sure. Hence we want just a quote summary to be displayed us our total deal amount.
With the current setup of Hubspot our Finance team has huge problems tracking the invoices they need to create. They just want the above-described quote drafts, that would suffice.

Hey there! @krogala and I found a workaround for this! We created the original service as a product, set to closed-won, then went back, opened the deal again, and added an upsell as a product again. This updates the deal and keeps track off all the transactions, too.
How to add Multiple Quotes to a Deal and Update Deal Amount?
Hi there,
thanks for bringing this up. We've got the same problem. We want to add multiple quotes to one deal and want the deal amount to update accordingly - right now, it just takes the last quote which was created.. Finance needs to see the different quotes because they need to see the different amounts on each quote and how many invoices to create. Because sometimes we don't invoice e.g. 500k, but 5x100k over a period of 8 months. Could you please help us out here? @lpick@Dan1@Kevin-C@DAnaGuiloff
