How do you mark a contact as no longer with that company

SOLVE

I have a user that has left the company I set him up for (and I am sure this will happen a lot as we use hubspot more).  I want to retain history so I am not looking to just delete the user.  How do you track people that left their current company?

@dguido  I remove them from the company and then created a custom field for a company needed.

Short A: HubSpot doesn't 'track' Associated Company HISTORY (by default).

 

Longer A:

However, you may use a Workflow to store the Associated Company for each contact in the Contact.Company Name property. If you do so, you will be able to see the HISTORY for the Contact.Company Name property.

To be clear, your Workflow(s) will need to manange all updates to that Contact.Company Name property including the initial company and ALL subsequent changes (or deletions). HubSpot makes no changes to the Contact.Company Name property (by default).
