Generic Follow up tasks

It would be nice for the tasks created via the Gmail Sales Extension tool to add a little bit more context, like the contact the task is associated with and maybe even the email subject line or a link to the associated email. Also, lately, tasks are failing to associate with the respective contact.

Pretty sure all tasks created from the sales extension should be associated with the contact record. Are you emailing the same email address that the contact record has within HubSpot?

Most of the time it does. In some odd cases it doesn't. I think it might be when I don't log the email -- have to test. But either way, the task doesn't associated with the email. So if I've emailed back and forth with you 10 times and created a task for one of those, it's easy to forget what the specific task was about.

Generic Follow up tasks

Hey @EFlores_Paula - thanks so much for posting in the Community!

From my understanding, we would only expect tasks associated to logged emails to be also associated with the respective Contact(s). Please feel free to follow up here if that is not the case after you test.

In regards to what you'd like to see around task context, I recommend posting this idea in our Ideas Forum. This would allow other customers to upvote your idea, build on it, and echo the sentiment directly to our Products Team!
