Generate deal based on ticket count

SOLVE

Hi,
We have a business model where we charge our customers per initiated support ticket. Does anyone know if it is possible to generate a deals through automation with a given product and count based on the volume of support tickets initiated? We're looking to generate one deal per customer per month.

Generate deal based on ticket count

SOLVE

@scarlex

Hi there 🙂

My name is Olivia and I an ex-HubSpotter turned HubSpot export for Baskey the agency. Happy to help here!

This would be possible using a combination of ticket, contact and deal properties. I would approach it as such:

1) Create a number contact property called 'count of tickets'.

2) Build a ticket-based workflow that increase this count of tickets property by 1 each time a ticket is created.
3) Build a second contact-based workflow that triggers once a month and branches on the 'number of tickets' property. After each branch you can use the 'create a deal' action and set up the deal with the correct number of line items based on the branch it is on.
4) Reset the 'number of tickets' property in the same workflow.

If you need assistance with this set-up please feel free to let me know 🙂

Thanks @Olivia_Bagnall for a great solution! My only remaning question is how to use the "count of tickets" as a line item count when creating a deal through automation. Can you point me in the right direction?
