Enroll contacts in a sequence without an email address
SOLVE
I'd like to be able to enroll contacts in a sequence without an email address if the sequence does not contain any email activities (ex: calls only, InMails only, etc.). Currently the limit of requiring an email means I need to fake email addresses on the contact records, which creates a bunch of bad data. Competitor sequence tools do not require this. This issue is enough to make me switch to another tool, and it makes paying for Hubspot Sales Pro not quite worth it if I have to pay for a separate sequence tool.
Do you mind me asking why the contacts don't have email addresses in the first place? Also, what is the purpose of the sequence? To automate tasks and reminders? If so, perhaps you can use a workflow instead. With the workflow, as long as the desired contacts are in a list, you can use that as the enrolment trigger and then you can simulate the sequence, i.e. you can create a task a day after someone is added to the list, another one 5 days later, etc.

We don't grab everyone's email at first. Many are LinkedIn connections and conversations, which we still want to manage with a multi-step, time-based sequence. Given the point is to automate as much work as possible with the least amount of effort, I feel like this is something Hubspot should natively allow. I will try creating workflows as you mentioned though, thank you for that workaround.

Yeah, in this case, it makes sense for it to be a workflow, as for that you need the actual contact record to exist regardless of whether or not there's an email (well, unless that's the enrolment trigger).
