HubSpot needs the ability to duplicate/clone a deal - specifically, if you have a retention client and you want to create a 12-month count deal. Currently, you have to create 12 net new deals and populate most of the properties. It would be great if you could clone all the deal data, and just update a few properties i.e. name, value and date.
Hey @BeancavNiekerk! Unfortunately, many people find that they need to use a third-party app to copy deals in HubSpot. I would recommend you to try CloneNer app. It is very easy to use. Previously, the app allowed users to duplicate deals in HubSpot manually. After the latest update, it added the ability to create auto-rule to duplicate deals. Users can now automate the duplication process by defining custom rules that are tailored to their workflow. It's very simple. For example, create a condition like: "If deal 'B' in pipeline 'A' moves to a certain stage, copy it to pipeline 'X' and place it in stage 'Y'." You can also select the associations to be transferred. You can turn off the function at any time.
I actually have built a bunch of automation to support year-over-year renewals via workflow. When a new deal closes it automatically promotes a couple of items including when the new renewal date is, and then transfers all the current amount of information over to a brand new deal. This happens for both the net new customers, but also for any future renewals.
I have actually taken the above to step further to handle calculations of year-over-year increases, and tracking upside and downside at a deal level (a lot of crazy here but its amazing once it comes together).
