Deactivate the synchronization of meeting details to customer calender entry
lösung
How we currently use HubSpot:
I am using HubSpot mainly as CRM for Sales activities.
Past customer visits are documented by logging a meeting and writing the report into the details of said meeting.
To allow my customers to book meetings with me themselves in a predefined timeslot I wanted to use the Meetings tool and this works great, but:
Problem:
With the synchronization of HubSoot with my google calender, obviously the Meeting Details are synchronized with the calender appointment generated atuomatically by HubSpot if a customer books a meeting through the meeting tool. Therefore also with the appointment in my customers calenders.
If not I write a meeting report in the meeting details this also gets synchronized to my customer --> And that is not where I want this to end up.
Question:
Is there a way to avoid that the meeting details are synced with the meeting in my customers calender? (while the calender integration is still acitve)
Alternatively: Are there other / better ways to store a meeting report?
The best practice here would be to log a meeting alongside this one or to use comments connected with the meeting. It will allow you to put in all your notes and keep a time stamp too. It also allows you to use @mentions and include others in your organization in the conversation if needed.

Hi Davey,
Thanks for your feedback and the effort of putting this into a video. Great work.
Unfortunatelly your response confirms what I had suspected. I think HubSpot is seriously lacking functionality here. Ideal would be a seperate section for an (internal) meeting protocol with predefined reporting fields that can be analyzed through reports. Having this kind of information in the CRM would make a lot more sense to me than storing the calender invitations in the meeting details.
Anyways, thanks for mapping it out for me. I'll move forward with the comments connected to the meeting.
