Create a new lead automation

Hi, does anyone know what will the automation under Leads- Pipeline - Automate - Create a new lead do with the Lead Owner? Will the automation copy the Contact Owner to the Lead Owner in Prospecting Workspace?

Hi, thank you for your answer but I am asking because we dont want to copy the Contact Owner of the Contact Object to be a Lead Owner. So I dont want to turn on the "sync lead owner with contact or company owner" automation. We have another property for the SDR team and would like this property to be set as a Lead Owner instead.

Ahh got you @Xiawanbai , in that case use a normal workflow to set your assignment rules.

If you don't activate the copy contact owner to lead owner, no lead owner will be set and you can define your own rules via workflows.

You can have this set as default behaviour in the settings tab.
