We have a lead type called a "blind refe**al." This is when we are working on obtaining an warm introduction through one of our partners. Our partner has indicated that they have a prospect lead for us, and we track them as a lead until the handoff has been made and they officially become part of our pipeline.
I want to create a workflow that, when we convert a blind refe**al, creates a new lead to work directly with our prospect. Right now, I can only create a deal. Is there a way to create another lead?
Via the user interface, when qualifying a lead, correct, HubSpot will prompt to create a deal. It's not possible to change this flow to prompt the creation of another lead.
If you want to create another lead, you would have to do so manually (create a net new lead from scratch).
Edit: Creating leads from lead based workflows doesn't seem to be possible.

@Lee_Brewster if that helps you to better organize your leads, yes - alternatively, you could also create a custom lead property to differentiate between regular and referral leads. A separate pipeline makes especially sense if stages or required properties are different.
