Contact & Company Stage Trackers displaying "phantom" Lifecycle Stage
SOLVE
Hey community,
I've added the stage tracker cards to the deal, contact and company pages in hubspot. Loving having them there. Thank you! 👌
I'm having some issues when using the contact and company stage trackers to track our custom lifecycle stages, however.
A "phantom" stage appears called "closed stage" and after trying some quick bug fixes and checking this board, i could not find a documented fix, so thought i would ask here as suggested.
A couple of things i have tried include:
1. Turning off integrations/workflows and turning them back on (salesforce, apollo, supered, tick tock today, insycle, calendly and zapier).
2. Checking the lifecycle stages do not include unwanted stages in the selection and that no other properties with the same name exist.
3. Re-creating the default lifecycle stages to see if anything changed and resetting my cache.
I'm definitely missing something here and was hoping that this super community can help with some more ideas for a fix?

@RHendricks I built out a stage tracker for deals and looked at some of our deals to verify.
The "Closed stage" is a combination of "Closed won" and "Closed lost" - when the deal is won, it shows a handshake icon in this stage and when it's lost it shows an X.
This stage can't be removed that I can find, hopefully with this clarification you won't need a fix 🙂

Thanks for the reply Jennifer 🎉
I'm quite happy with the stage tracker on the deal object.
It's when i'm trying to use the stage tracker to track custom lifecycle stages on the contact or company object that i'm seeing the "phantom/ghost" stage called "closed stage" at the end of the visual representation that the stage tracker provides on those objects.
I've created a dev environment to test the default settings (without custom lifecycle stages) and it looks like the "closed stage" visualisation on those is related to the standard lifecycle stage "other", which we don't want to use.
I'm wondering if this changable so that we don't visually represent a lifecycle stage on the trackers that does not exist?
I've removed the stage trackers from contact and company records for now but it would be a very desirable feature if it visualised the way i was expecting it to.
Any further knowledge on the contact and company stage trackers in this thread would be welcome 🙏
