Is there any way to include an approval step before allowing the sales team to close an opp? Maybe an email to an approver, who can check the data, and close the deal if all is included?
We have a number of fields both in the deal, and on the account record that need to be completed before closing a deal, due to the integration to invoicing software happening automatically after a deal is closed won. Some we can make mandatory, but some we can't (specifically those on the account).
Hey MCoughlan6, you can create a pipeline stage called "Pending Approval" that automatically creates a task for the approver to check the deal. Once everything is verified the admin can move the deal over to Won.
If approval before closing the deal out slows down the onboarding process you may want to consider moving this step to after a deal is Won and updating the trigger criteria for your invoicing software integration to happen after all info has been verified.
