Can you create a manual View or List with specific contacts?

SOLVE

Hello, how can I manually select certain contacts to set up for my Sales Team who would then enroll these contacts in their sequence on a certain date?

We want to add 50 contacts to a sequence 1x a week per rep.
Those contacts should be from different states so cannot filter on state/region.

Those contacts were recently added to HubSpot w/ an import - so cannot filter on anything there either.

I can't seem to hand select 50 contacts from different states from a list 100 by Contact Owner and create a custom view.  I simply want to grab a few random contacts and create a New View (or List) so the Sales Reps would have easy access to which ones they'll be calling and then entering into the sequence.

The creation of a view or list would be perfect so all they would need to do is enroll them from that view or list.

Is this possible? What am I missing here?

Hi @LWilson40,

This is generally possible but harder without a Marketing Hub Enterprise subscription which lets you create random samples from bigger lists: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/lists/create-a-random-split-list

The approach here would be to set up a base list containing all eligible contacts (filtering for contact owner, the absence of a previous sequence enrollment etc), then breaking them down into smaller chunks using the random split list feature.

Without a Marketing Hub Enterprise subscription, your best option is likely to export these contacts, perform a random assignment in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheet, then re-import these contacts with new information that lets you segment them in an easier way.

Let me know if I should elaborate on any of these points further!

Hey, you can also try:

1. A bit more detail on how to perform the random assignment in Excel/Sheets (using RAND() or a random number generator).

2. Perhaps an example workflow for reps to follow once the views are created (enrol contacts, mark enrolled, move to next view, etc).

3. Any limitations or cons to this manual workflow vs the built-in random split list feature.
