Bug? Deal totals updated from a Quote do not respect discounts

Hi all,

Not sure if this is a bug, or I'm missing a configuration somewhere, but I've noticed that when creating a quote that includes a discount the Deal value is updated to reflect the quote total excluding any discounts; which naturally is not expected or good for reporting.

Any ideas?

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

It is currently not possible to sync the discounted quote amount to deal records as the deal amount does not have the monetary adjustments like discounts as the quote does. This would be a handy feature for reporting though! 

I would recommend upvoting this related idea in the Ideas Forum and commenting why this feature would be useful. 

Our product team, who monitors the forum regularly, can read your specific use case and understand why this would be a useful functionality or change. It also helps other customers facing the same issue to advocate for its implementation on your behalf by upvoting on the thread as well.
