Block Tracking, Logging for Certain Email Addresses

SOLVE

Has anyone else had this problem - Emails to/from upper management or board of directors gettting tracked and included in Hubspot for everyone in the team to see? These are often confidential emails not meant for everyone.

 

The Directors/ Shareholders/ Management don't realise their email reply to. say, the sales director, could well be logged in Hubspot for everyone who has access to the sales director's Hubspot contact record to see.

 

Is it possible to create a 'do not log' list of email addresses, i.e. no email conversation with specific individuals would be recorded in Hubspot?

UPDATE: This functionality is now available by adding email addresses or domains to a user's never log settings. This must be done on a user by user basis.

Hi @dcchkukcan   At this time there is not a way to block logging of messages based on email addresses. The CRM is designed for 1:1 interactions between your sales team and prospects, with provisions to allow sales managers to monitor those inteactions.

 

In most use cases, your prospects are the only contacts in the database, thereby eliminating the need for confidentiality. You can limit the viewing of contacts to owners, but it is not possible to block a group of contacts from being viewed. 

 

However, you are the not he first user that has enquired about this. Can you head over to the ideas forum and add this as a post?
