Blank Data cells when importing Company and Contact information

SOLVE

Hi, 

 

I have been trying to Import Company and Contact data that is outlined in one file. Therefore, I have selected one file, multiple objects, companies and contacts, and placed in my file. 

 

I want the contacts to be under a company, therefore I have one section for Company Name under Company Properties, and a Company Name under Contact Properties. I hope that this would then match the contact information with the company information. 

 

While the contacts are going into the company details, some of the company names have not showed up at all under Company Properties. Under the companies tab, they have showed up as "--" (shown below)

I want to try and get these company names in so the sales team can identify them. 

 

How can I fix this issue?

Hi @CTurton,

 

Have you checked what the row / line corresponding to this record in your import file looks like? (You should be able to find out by checking the associated contact, searching your file for the contact and looking up the company information in that row.)

 

It's hard to troubleshoot this without access to your import file, a screenshot of the property mapping and the ability to drill into the company records.

 

Generally, the steps that you outlined sound correct.
