Are there any suggestions on how to assign a Goal/Objective to a Customer and then associate Activities to that Goal/Objective? As ane example: The 2025 Goal for Customer ABC is for our sales team to convert them from Product X to Product Y. I want to track all any Activities associated with that goal and associate them with that Company and with that Goal (eg: Met with the President on Product X....."
With the updated Goals app in HubSpot, since we can create a goal tied to any object, you could create a goal for a customer (Company or Contact) and then decide the property you're going to focus on.
Then as your team logs activities, they should be able to associate them to the goal. Here's what I found for two ways to do this.
Option A: Manual Association > Navigate to the record (e.g., Customer ABC's company profile).
> Locate the activity you want to associate (e.g., a meeting or task).
> Expand the activity details and click on "Associations."
> Add the custom goal or related deal as an associated record. This ensures that the activity is linked to both the company and the goal.
Option B: Automate Activity Associations > Go to Settings > Data Management > Objects > Activities > Associations.
> Configure default rules for automatically associating activities with specific records, such as deals or custom objects tied to your goal.
Or if you want to get real fancy, and your HubSpot subscription includes custom objects, you can create a custom object specifically for tracking goals.
> Define fields such as "Goal Description," "Target Date," and "Associated Activities."
> Link this custom object with both Customer ABC's record and any relevant activities.
Hopefully this helps!
