We are exploring a trial for Hubspot Sales pro, Ops pro and Marketing Enterprise for an app we are building.
We want to set up a Deal for when an app user shows intent to start planning a purchase (long sales pipeline) but our process is to then pass that enquiry out to three different partners, when the user formelrly requests a quote, who will each work on the enquiry and compete for the business.
Would anyone have advice on whether we should use a Deal for the initial intent from the user that would normally start our pipeline and then somehow create a sub-deal or associated deal for each partner to work on their own associated Pipeline when the user requests we get quotes for them.
Or would it seem more logical to record the purchase intent for the User another way and create three separate Deals for the contact to represent each partners flow? We will want to continue the after sales pipeline after our partner has completed all their work within the Deal.
We will have users that have multiple purchases planned for the future and want to monitor these until the stage where they then request a quote and we pass their enquiry out to three partners.
I expect there are a few ways to do this and because of a lack of Hubspot knowledge I am unsure where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
My first thought is that as there will be two seperate processes to follow for each opportunity - your internal long sales process and the partners sales processes - it would work to create two seperate deals pipelines - one for internal and one for partners.
The one 'internal' deal can be associated to the three partner deals (on the other pipeline), so the information is linked but on seperate records too.
Example below, with associated partner deals on the right handside:
