Having source code as an option in both 1-1 and marketing email editors is crucial as it allows us to fully customize our content. This inclusive approach ensures a smoother transition between editing methods and empowers users to tailor their content precisely to their needs, aligning with the goal of delivering a versatile and user-friendly editing environment that enhances the overall user experience. Please consider adding source code to 1-1 emails.
I'd think that the reason there's no source code in the 1:1 emails is because they are supposed to simulate 1:1 emails from a standard email client. I wouldn't expect Outlook or Gmail to have that option, and I think it's done without this ability, so there's less of a chance for the 1:1 email to get stopped by spam filters because of unrecognised code or code that's not being parsed correctly.
Do you mind me asking what kind of 1:1 email are you envisaging if you were to have that option? Would you add images, styling or additional custom code?
