Can you import historical data into a form

SOLVE

We're switching to HubSpot, and have reocrded when people have filled out a "Pricing Request" form on our website iwth their information. We're planning on using a HubSpot form to capture that information now, but is there a way to import the previous form submissions?

I understand that we can import the actual data from the submissions, but I'd like to see in the timeline view of when that user submitted the form in the past, and see reports of previous form submissions. Is this possible?

Can you import historical data into a form

SOLVE

Hi @peterluba,

As far as I know, this is not possible. While you could use the HubSpot API to simulate a form submission, it would receive a current date stamp, not the original date. Properties like Number of form submissions would be updated accurately, but other properties, e.g. Recent conversion date would be inaccurate.

If you want an entry in the contact record timeline, you could consider importing the form submissions not only as contact property values but additionally as notes. That way, you'd at least have an entry on the contact record timeline when the original submission happened.

Hope this helps!
