Problem with Mismatched Font Color in Personalized Snippet (1 to 1 Email)
SOLVE
Happy New Year to all!
A small problem. When I personalize a snippet for use in 1 to 1 email, in the resulting email, the font for the personalized "fields" appears slightly lighter in color (more gray than black). The personalized email doesn't look very professional, because the "merged" (personalized) content stands out and looks like it was added to a form email! Not good.
See example below. The first name "Greg" and the company name " GBR Consulting" are slightly different than the body font. FYI, all appear in Settings (within compose/edit window) as San Serif, 11 pt.
I've had a similar problem before and I resolved it by putting the snippet text in Notepad or something similar to remove the formatting and copying from there. You could also (if you're pasting from somewhere else) paste it in with Shift + Ctrl + V as this will paste it with removing formatting.

As a follow-up, I received similar advice from Hubspot support. They said
"a good tip while using templates and snippets is to make sure you paste without formatting if you're copy/pasting text from somewhere else -
Mac: Cmd + Shift + V
Windows: Ctrl + Shift + V"
Well, that works for me.
I will also be vigilant to be sure I haven't formatted Snippet text to what I think is "basic black" when in fact the default font for Personalizations appears to be dark grey or "33475b" in the color selector.

Thanks Chris. In trying this, I created another email using the Snippet. Within the compose box, I selected all the text, hit CTRL X to cut it, then immediately used Shift+CTRL+V to paste without formatting in the same location. No need for any other app. This is a near-instant fix! Many thanks for the inspiration. I will keep this thread open in case I hear of any other fixes from Support. Thanks again!
