Logging historical emails

SOLVE

We recently transitioned to Hubspot from Pipedrive. 

In Pipedrive, once your email is connected, you can see your entire correspondence history with the contact on the contact page. This is invaluable for us.

 

In Hubspot, where we've migrated our data (which included many deals in progress), previous and ongoing email conversations aren't logged, so it's very hard to determine in Hubspot where the conversation currently stands. 

Is there a way to sync all email correspondence from our connected inbox with each contact, as there is with Pipedrive? (I know there's a manual forwarding option, but we have too many emails and open deals for that.)

If I'm not mistaken, HubSpot still does not have a native option to log historic emails in bulk by just connecting an inbox.

 

Out of the box, only emails will log that are sent from HubSpot, using the sales extensions, or the BCC address – and all replies to those emails.

 

With a new beta, "Contact email logging rules", incoming net new emails are now also covered and can be logged.

 

Historically, however, you would have to look into third-party tools like Threads or build your own solution based on the HubSpot API:
