IMAP Email Integration Error

Hi Jenny,

 

Good morning. I was trying to integrate my corporate email ID with my Hubspot account and am facing an error. Please find below the details of the error faced.

1. Hub ID: 3422616

2. pic of the error can be found below:

3. Email ID : Sindhu.John@fortegrp.com

4. HAR file after reloading the error is available below:

5. email id and password were manually entered. The port ID's were automatically entered. However, I did verify with my IT team that the port IDs were correct. I also cross checked with a collegue who is using the same server and whose email is successfully connected with Hubspot. The port ids match.

Please let me know if there is any other information you need from me.

Hi @SindhuJohn 

 

Do not try to connect an email account hosted by Office 365 by selecting generic IMAP as your provider type. The connection will not work properly, as we have a dedicated connection process for O365 that uses O365 default settings and API to connect to your inbox. Connect your inbox and select Office 365 as your provider, and you should be able to connect.

I tried to connect using O365 as well. However I got the following error.

Hi @SindhuJohn

 

Jessie is correct that if your email is hosted by Office 365, you should try and connect it using the O365 connection type. 

 

If you are receiving an error for that connection, I would recommend clearing your cache, trying to connect across different browsers and computers, as well as through an incognito window to ensure that the  issue is not with any type of browser. 

 

Let's keep trying to connect using the O365 connection, as that is the only platform HubSpot supports for inboxes hosted by Office 365.
