I have been using Hubspot for about a year or so. Over the past few months the system has seriously slowed down - slowed to the point that I type and then I have to wait 10 or 15 seconds for what I typed to show up on the screen. This issue appears across multiple platforms and browers. I should also point out that I am not a computer novice. I am a programmer by training.
Things I have tried.
1. Clearing my cookies and cache
2. Using Hubspot in a incognito window
3. Switching browsers - Chrome, Firefox & Edge
4. Using it on a completely different computer in my office
5. Using it on a different computer at home
They ALL react the same. Sometimes it does get better - but I am also experiencing the slowness just typing into this window.
Based on my experience, this is a Hubspot issue - something they have done on the app has slowed down the system. Why it has slowed down typing probably has to do with some sort of on demand processing that is happening.
Help? I like Hubspot, but this is becoming too much to deal with.
I have the same problem with HubSpot. In fact everyone in my team does. When I have to complete up to 150 fields on HS for each case I work on, and each field takes around 10 seconds to cach up with what I have typed, it is simply unacceptable. I have spoken at length with our IT team who have confirmed and evidenced numerous times that our upload speed and internet connection is exceptional - it genuinely couldn't be stronger. Please advise how Hubspot can remedy this as it can't go on.
Sorry, but none of these solutions works. Hubspot starts out ok, but then slows to a crawl - I literally have to wait 10 - 20 seconds for the characters to catch-up to what I've typed. This happens on multiple machines, in multiple locations. Something Hubspot is doing - sending data back to the mothership? is causing the slowdown. I am an incredibly experienced computer user - former low level programmer and system admin, so I'm very familiar with tech. This started out of the blue several weeks back and hasn't let up. It's happened in the past as well, then stopped. Not sure what changed. I may have to find another solution besides hubspot if I can't resolve this.
I've been monitoring the loading speed while using our software in the past week and I'm not able to reproduce the behavior that you're describing.
I am by no means a network specialist, but the fact that you've been experiencing this issue on different browsers, different devices, and even here on the Community (we don't host the Community on HubSpot, but on a 3rd party community platform provider), has me thinking that this could have something to do with your internet connection & upload speed. If you're also experiencing slowness on other platforms where you're uploading data & content, I'd definitely look into your internet connection. I found this article with useful tips that can help you improve your upload speed.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the software performance. Thank you @Jnix284 for some great tips!
I must also say that when HubSpot is slow on my end, the reason behind it is usually my browser or an unstable internet connection.
I did, however, check if we've had any incidents lately that would seriously affect the performance of the software, but I wasn't able to find any: you can also check our status page & incidents report here.
@ZMandel I also discovered today, when my buttons greyed out in the conversation inbox, that the only way I could resolve was to restart - which means that my available RAM had an impact on performance within HubSpot. I know you tried different computers, just thought this might be worth throwing in as a possibility.
Sometimes I use a very lightweight windows laptop and it can sound like an airplane taking off if I open too many HubSpot tabs 😉
Hi @ZMandel I've experienced a bit of slowness from time to time myself (today I couldn't get website page editor to load without doing a full restart), and found minimal impact doing the things you've listed only to realize that it has more to do with my internet connection than anything else. I know you've tried different locations, so it probably isn't likely, just in case, have you checked your connection?
