I am the Super Admin on my team, and can't figure out how to remove an incorrect or defunct email alias from a user or how to limit which emails the CRM auto-logs.
The users with email aliases are experiencing issues where ALL outgoing emails with the bcc manual email add are getting logged in the CRM. It is not feasible to have a big list of all Never Log domains due to our industry.
How can I either remove the user's alias for them, or set it so ONLY outgoing and incoming emails the user specifically adds the bcc/forwarding address to are logged in the CRM?
If you want to remove a Connected Inbox that is using an alias, then you'd go to:
Settings > Account Management > Users & Teams
Clicking on the specific user
Go to Actions in the top right corner
You can log in as the user and remove the email alias from here by going to their Settings>General>Email (through their account)
From a global perspective, you can go to Objects>Activities and set the settings for the Sales Extension globally. You can turn off logging all emails by default, which will override anyone's Chrome/Outlook extension settings.
For this, "or set it so ONLY outgoing and incoming emails the user specifically adds the bcc/forwarding address to are logged in the CRM?" – this needs to be either done Globally (like I explain above) and can be controlled through the extension – if they are using the manual "BCC" – and you ensure that they're not auto logging, you should be good.
