Emails

Hi, so my emails dont copy over from outlook.

thi has been an issue for months now despite continued "advice" from Hubspot, ive followed the steps below and yet i am still unable to collerate my emails form any account and havnt been able to do so since i started using HubSpot.

Got it, Jessica! Here's how you can troubleshoot and solve the issue of your Outlook emails not copying over to your free HubSpot account:

  1. Make Sure Your Inbox Is Properly Connected
  • In HubSpot, go to Settings → Integrations → Email Integrations, and verify that your Outlook inbox is fully connected. Sometimes, it's possible for the connection to break, and you may need to reconnect or reauthorize it .
  • If you have multiple Outlook accounts connected to your desktop Outlook app, set your primary email (the one you want to connect to HubSpot) as the default account within Outlook. The HubSpot add-in can get confused by multiple active accounts .
  1. Use the Correct HubSpot Add-In
  • For Outlook desktop or web, use the official "HubSpot Sales" plug-in/add-in provided by HubSpot. Download and install it from the HubSpot website or Microsoft AppSource.
  • Sign in to the HubSpot add-in with your correct HubSpot account.
  1. Log and Track Emails Properly
  • When composing emails from Outlook, use the HubSpot Sales tools to "Log" and/or "Track" them in HubSpot. There should be checkboxes or toggles for these in the email composition window.
  • If you want every email to be copied, turn on logging/auto-BCC to your HubSpot BCC address.
  1. Try Uninstalling and Reinstalling the Add-In
  • Remove the HubSpot Outlook add-in, restart Outlook, and reinstall the latest version. Occasionally, configuration hiccups are resolved by a clean install .
  1. Check Your Permissions
  • Free HubSpot accounts can connect personal email inboxes, but certain settings or admin restrictions in your Outlook/Office 365 setup may prevent access. Make sure the HubSpot app has the necessary permissions in Outlook and is not blocked by IT security policies .

Hi @JSumners

Can you explain in 2-3 sentences with a screenshot or two what you are doing and what the issue is?

Have you connected your personal email in HubSpot?

Have you installed the Sales Extension?
