Emails are not syncing but Calendars are

Hi all,

I have searched the community for the same issue but didnt find one so hoping a new thread would be useful.

I have been trying to sync my email with hubspot for my deals forever. I managed to get calendar invites syned but not emails.

I have hubspot extention installed on my chrome and they are logged in. I have enable all possible features but the emails are still not coming in. My colleague has no trouble and I have mirrored all his features.

Please help. Thank you.

Hi @JKhow,

Is your Chrome extension set up to automatically track? https://knowledge.hubspot.com/email-tracking/track-and-log-emails-with-the-hubspot-sales-chrome-exte...

Hi Karsten,

It is me again. Things were going great and everything is logged and track. I have a few questions here.

1. I added a new deal and added a few emails to the deal. However the emails I sent out were not logged in hupspot, please see attached screen capture.

2. When I assosiate an email to a deal, it gives the option to either track 30 days or all time, how do I make this change if I change my mind?

Thank you.Screenshot 2023-11-24 at 5.25.19 PM.png

Hi @JKhow,

HubSpot does not automatically sync emails retroactively. HubSpot only logs emails going forward, or in other words: emails that you send via the CRM or the sales extensions going forward.

There aren't settings of the sales extensions which would change this behavior. Natively, HubSpot doesn't have any capabilities for a full sync. There are however third-party providers such as Threads which have related offerings: https://ecosystem.hubspot.com/marketplace/apps/marketing/data-management/threads

(Whatever your colleague did might look like HubSpot is syncing the entire personal inbox but it's not.)

The calendar sync behaves differently, correct.

Best regards!

Hi Karsten,

Thank you for that. Yes we were referring to the emails sent out from our inbox the email address we input for specific deals only.

Other than the Sales extension on chrome that he installed and logged in, he hasnt made any other changes but the emails are synced to activities > emails under Deals.

I have the sales extension on chrome installed as well, logged in however the emails going out are not synced like his. Please help

Hi @JKhow,

Are you 100% sure that his old emails are being synced? When he pulls up an email from a month before setting up the integratino for example, is that email actually logged to a deal?

Yes it does, if he choose to sync more 30 days, only emails sent within that 30 days would be synced. If he chooses to sync "all', all emails from as old as 2021 is synced although the deal was only created today.

I have also tested new deals with emails, I created a deal today, then I logged out and in for both my email and hubspot (so that they will reset), then send an email out on my inbox, it still does not sync.

Thank you Karsten,

That solved my problem. I wasnt aware there were a few different places to enable settings for the sync. It works perfectly now.
