Email history import for contacts added later to deals

Dear Hubspot Team

 

We have a scenario where, as our deals evolve, new contacts join the conversation (as they are included by their colleagues). These are sometimes not immediately allocated to a specific deal but all emails are tracked by Hubspot.

 

When we add the contact to the deal, how do we get the deal to also log the email history with this new contact form before adding them to the deal? 

 

This is possible when creating a new deal, adding contact one can select to include all comms from "All time". When we add a contact later, one can just add bu not specifcy how far back it should include previous tracked emails. How can this be done for contact added later?

Hi @ImburseCH,

 

When activities are not automatically associated (but you'd like them to be), you need to manually associate the activity to the record. To do so, navigate to the record that already has the activity, find the activity and via the associations dropdown on the lower right, add the new contact.
