Hi,

For second time in a few I received a message advicing that my email has been deactivated. The last time I was able to activate it but now I can't. Could someone help me and let me know what I should do and why is this happening?

Email Deactivated account

SOLVE

Hello @Urileando ,

HubSpot may deactivate or mark an email account as disconnected when it detects issues related to email sending, authentication, or compliance. Here are some common reasons:

  • High bounce rates, spam complaints, or consistently low engagement can trigger a deactivation.

  • If you're using a connected inbox, temporary disconnections or permission errors may also lead to deactivation.

  • In some cases, it may be due to a violation of HubSpot’s acceptable use policy, such as emailing unengaged or non-opted-in contacts, even unintentionally.

How to fix it:

  1. Go to Settings > General > Email and check if your inbox is still connected. If not, try reauthorizing it.

  2. If you're unable to reactivate it yourself, please reach out to HubSpot Support through Help > Contact Support in your portal.

Let me know if you need help with the reauthorization steps.

If my reply answered your question, please mark it as a solution to make it easier for others to find.

If your HubSpot email has been deactivated multiple times, it’s usually because of factors like high bounce rates, spam complaints, low engagement, or temporary connection issues with your inbox that cause HubSpot to automatically deactivate sending to protect your account’s reputation. Since you mentioned you were able to reactivate it once but not this time, first check if your inbox is still properly connected in HubSpot and try reauthorizing the connection. If that doesn’t work, it’s best to contact HubSpot Support directly to investigate if there are any policy restrictions or deeper issues affecting your email sending. To avoid future problems, monitor your email engagement and clean your lists regularly to reduce bounces and complaints.

Hello,

I've already tried to reactivate the account and it says that it's not possible to activate. I contact with Hubspot by the chat but as I'm a free user they said to ask at the community.

That they cannot help from the sales department.
