Edit automated email before send?

I am just starting out in sequences and looking through one set up in our instance.  This automated email needs to be edited before it is sent.  For example, there is a line in the automated email that states:

EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING I THINK WE COULD IMPROVE

This line is in the email with the intention of the sender modifying the line to state an example they have personally found.  Will the automated email allow my BDR to edit the email before sending or will the email send stating 'EXAMPLE OF SOMETHING I THINK WE COULD IMPROVE'?
