Documents - how to make lists

I have found the document reports.

 

But where does the document data come in the list builder and workflow builder... what am I missing?

 

I just want to create a list of contacts that have been sent document X...

Hi @auto_mate,

 

At this time there is not a function that will allow you to create a list or start a workflow based on the fact that someone was sent a document, unless you are sending them the document using a "Marketing Email". If you send it via a marketing email, you should be able to accomplish your goal -- unless the document you are sending is unique to each individual.

Argh... but what's the point of having emails w/documents if we can't use them with our automation? Would make more sense...
