Creating a list of contacts with the # number of email OPENS (Sales)

SOLVE

Hello all,

Is there a way to create a list of contacts with a specifice number of email opens? Like: "Show all contacts with more than 2 email opens"

I know it's possible for email clicks (go to Lists, Filters, choose Object=Activity and then in the section Email: # Number of email clicks) but I can't find the # Number of Emails opens. I suppose it's not there?

P.s. I don't mean Marketing e-mails, only individual Sales (and other sent) emails.

Hi @PaulHub,

Out of the box, no, this is not something you can filter for. Other users have however requested this before: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Contact-property-number-of-email-opens-HubSpot-Sales/...

The HubSpot product team reviews these requests based on their popularity. I'd recommend upvoting and commenting.

You can also make it easier for others to find this request (and drive traction) by accepting my reply as a solution. I'd appreciate it, too.

If you have a Professional subscription, there is a workaround where you create a custom number property and a contact-based workflows that enrolls re-enrolls records when "Recent sales email open date is known". The only action is to "Increase property value" (+1). You can then filter for this property being greater than or equal to 2. This is only an approximation as it's date-based and multiple opens might occur on the same date.

Dear Karsten,

Thanks for your quick response; you're the best. And no is also an answer that can make things clear.

The funny thing is that you can actually see the number of opens per contact in your Activity feed (Prospecting > Finding prospects > Feed > Filter on email opens). There, you get an overview of contacts and the number of their email opens. Unfortunately, you can't filter it further or export the data. You have to scroll endlessly through the list.

Thanks for the workflow tip. I think that's a useful workaround.

Kind regards,

Paul

P.s. about the workaround: It works verry good but make sure that the "Re-enrollment" feature is switched On with "Recent sales email open date is known", otherwise it won't work and counts only one time.

You can find the workaround here: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/Tips-Tricks-Best-Practices/Count-Sales-Emails-openings-for-a-contac...
