Connect personal email to General Company Email That’s Already Connected to Conversations Inbox

Hi everyone,

I’m working with a client who wants to use HubSpot Sequences to send bulk re-engagement emails to contacts from Closed Lost deals. The goal is for the emails to come from a general company address (e.g., info@company.com) rather than from a rep’s personal email.

Here’s the blocker we’ve run into:

  • Sequences only work with connected personal emails, not with shared inboxes.

  • The info@company.com address is already connected to the Conversations inbox, which prevents us from also connecting it as a personal inbox.

  • Disconnecting info@ from the Conversations inbox isn’t an option for this client, since they rely heavily on the shared inbox functionality.

  • Marketing Hub emails aren’t viable either, as the client is restricted by their marketing contacts tier.

So we’re stuck between the sequence limitation and the inbox limitation.


Has anyone found a workaround that allows sending sequences from a general company email while keeping that same address connected to the Conversations inbox?

Any workaround is much appreacited!

Hi @CarolinaDeMares,

 

If the requirement is to use the exact same email address, then no, this is not possible and I'm not aware of any workarounds. HubSpot set these features up to be mutually exclusive in this regard.

 

You would have to use different addresses - either an equally generic one (contact@company.com) or a subdomain (which might be a good idea for reputation management anyway, info@email.company.com).
