Check if email receipient clicked and IS on our website

解決

Hi,
i'm trying to achieve a goal, where I'm sending a template (or e-mail within the CRM) to a given set of contacts and be able to see who is actually on our website (meaning, he/she clicked on the link in that email leading to our website) ?

Taking into consideration this must be a 'returning' contact and that all must be GDRP-compliant, how to achieve this ?

Thanks for pointers !

Hi @BusWiFi,

Starting with the technical requirements, you would need to install the HubSpot tracking code. This allows HubSpot to monitor your website traffic. The tracking code is automatically included on HubSpot blog posts, landing pages, and website pages.

When using this tracking code, you also need to customize your visitor cookie tracking privacy policy banner, as explained here.

Before HubSpot can associate any website activity with a specific contact record, a contact must fill out a form. These forms must include consent information, you can learn more about that here.

Once these things are in place (tracking code, cookie policy, website forms), HubSpot can track website activity if a contact has accepted cookies and submitted a form. You would then also see this activity in HubSpot after sending one-to-one emails to these contacts.
