Bug when editing HTML email signature before sending from Hubspot?

SOLVE

Hi Hubspot Community!

I have a habit of sending emails from Hubspot to both current customers and prospects, and when replying I usually use a shorter version of my email signature to "declutter" the email thread a bit.

I get this issue though: the text box for editing my HTML email signature is compressed, and it almost looks like it's a bug.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Bug when editing HTML email signature before sending from Hubspot?

Update: got this issue solved by reaching out to our sys-admin, they changed my account from a "paid Service Seat" to a "paid Sales Seat", that way I got access to the feature of using multiple email signatures instead of having to edit the HTML code 👍

Hi! @WPettersson Sometimes you can use a snippet or a plain text signature to workaround this bug

Hey @WPettersson! Could you share some screenshots so we can better understand the issue? How do you revise the signature when decluttering-- is it another version of the signature or do you edit it manually?

Best,

Kennedy

Hi @kennedyp, short answer is that I edit manually. Here are some screen shots of how I go about it:

Step 1: hit "edit"Step 1: hit "edit"

Step 2: scroll the HTML codeStep 2: scroll the HTML code

Step 3: mark up lines of code to deleteStep 3: mark up lines of code to delete

Step 4: delete marked lines of code, hit "save"Step 4: delete marked lines of code, hit "save"

Hi @WPettersson! Depending on the code that you're deleting, it could be removing some important lines that affect the formatting. I like @SamCBarth_LAIRE's idea of using a snippet in these cases. You could create a snippet with edited proper HTML for your shorter signature and when you want to revise it, you can just use the snippet to replace all of the text.

Sorry @kennedyp, I don't quite follow how to use a snippet to work around the issue, can you please advice with screen shots? 🙂

Further, this work around does not solve the core issue that the editing window and text box looks buggy, if I remember correctly the text box below was larger and user friendly only a few months ago.Buggy, eh?Buggy, eh?
