I have already managed to setup the forwarding. a) manually from my mail account's inbox to Hubspot in order to create contacts and b) from my mail account's inbox to a second mail account of mine for testing reasons. Both processes work. Now I want to automatically forward it to hubspot from my mail account. Basically the same thing. However, it does not work, since it does not create contacts. However a) and b) work. What coudl be the reason?
This is what I'm trying to do too. But when I add our Hubspot forwarding email address to my rules on Google Workspace email, it sends a code to our Hubspot forwarding email... which doesn't get sent back to us.
Xero has solved this problem by forcing to send an auth email, but I can't seem to find this on Hubspot.
I love it when the Accepted Solution is "You can not do that"
Let me present a scenario where using the source inbox does not work. We use one email for support (Support@Company.com) but have half a dozen support agents to whom tickets are assigned. They always reply as support@company. What we want when the client responds is for Hubspot to identify the assigned agent and then forward the email to their personal address. This not only notifies them that the client has responded but gives them the actual response.
As is, we would have to forward all support emails to every agent (a nightmare) or send the generic HubSpot notification notice which contains zero information about the response. We choose the latter but it is not good.
Another option is to include incoming email in the automated notifications. This too is not an option in HubSpot.
