I have been trying to sort out the exact difference between these two metrics. It seems like they should be the same, organic searches, e.g., traffic that comes to the website from search engines, Google, DDG, Bing, Yahoo, etc. But in Google Data Studio I get different data from them. With all dimensions being the same, I cannot find an exact definition of the difference. I've Googled, asked Google, and even reached out on Reddit with no luck. Does anybody here have any insights?
I also hope to learn as much information as possible about advertising my business and how effectively it works. I started my own business not so long ago because it was my dream, but I still don't really understand everything related to it. So I just decided to contact the specialists from the local seo central coast that my website and business were promoted and I had more buyers. I'm sure that the more I do for my business and invest all my strength, the faster buyers will come to me, and my business will develop. Am I right? Or maybe you can tell me more about it.
@BGraves9 is this data from Google Analytics?Or another analytics platform? I don't recognize it as a HubSpot report.
I don't have an answer as much as questions. Is this account using ads? That could be the difference. Organic search and advertising will be different, but I'm not sure it translates well into the difference. I'd think "traffic from search" would be all, including organic and paid.
Like you, I can't find anything on the difference when I search. This is an interesting situation. Following along to learn, too!
Did my answer help? Please "mark as a solution" to help others find answers. Plus I really appreciate it!
I appreciate you following along. The data is from Google Analytics and nothing else. However, I did figure out that I have a segment selected for Traffic from Search. 🙄
I completely understand that you are trying to find out the difference between Organic Searches and Traffic from Search. I would like to tag in some of our experts into this @danmoyle , @JonPayne and @rikkilear . Would you have an insight on the difference for @BGraves9 ?
