You are definitely at the right place. Their SEO course will give you a great overview of how you can improve your writing skills. Here are a few tips that I know might help you:

• Currently, Google has released a helpful content update for its ranking algorithm and according to that update, more focus will be given to writing helpful content for your target audience. By helpful, it means that users get a benefit from it whether it's about sharing knowledge or promoting something beneficial for the community.
• As a content writer, you should also focus on the type of content you are producing in SEO like if your content topic is evergreen or changing. In the case of evergreen, you don't really have to do a lot just for the appropriate keyword research will suffice but if you are writing content that can change in the future, then you need to be careful now to see if your content provides good insights. You can further improve your SEO with it as time passes.
• Lastly, I would highly recommend that you focus on creating user journeys as well as how your content will deal with a person who has no knowledge about it. This will really give you the boost to write SEO-friendly content with good conversion rates.
