Hi all. My name is Zak Nelson, and I'm a senior copywriter at Sands Costner, a marketing/advertising agency based in Tacoma, Washington (though I myself recently relocated to Minneapolis, Minnesota). I've been helping my agency develop its content marketing service, and am trying to fill in some gaps in knowledge. 

One recommendation I can easily share with the group is to write for humans, not for algorithms. Google and other search engines are always improving, and you won't win traffic in the long-term by trying to game it. Keywords are important, but it's real people who are your site's consumers, and who will drive SERP rankings. (At least, that's what I've been told—I'll let you know when my agency's site ranks first for its audience!)
