Broken links

Poor technical practices like broken links, duplicate content, or slow load times 'can lead to lower rankings or even penalties. Technical SEO helps prevent these issues.

For the new website setup, technical platforms like GSC and tag manager will then perform a deep site audit to check the performance of the website

Hi everyone,

So I'm building a directory website and to improve my technical SEO I will be defining canonical URL for each page. My directory will have list filters which include sorting to the newest listing, location, and more but i will have to canonicalize my page so google can index only the main listing page of the category like handicraft stores insead of newest listing of handicraft stores.

Hello everyone,

So I am taking this course to learn how to optimize my social media better. So to improve my technical SEO for that, I want to make sure that when I am linking one social to the next, that it's very clear and easy to navigate. I will achieve that by making a link.tree so that all my links are cohesive and together. Making them easy to navigate and to spot. And make sure that the name of the link.tree relates to my content.

I've actually used redirect codes recently to improve our technical SEO as our company had 2 separate URLs. Now, one of them directs permanently to the main page so all leads are directed to the same page. This also improved our internal processes as both the sites had identical information that doubled the amount of time we needed to update it.

Next, I might loko at protocol or robot.txt to improve technical SEO

One action I’m taking to improve my website’s technical SEO is conducting a comprehensive crawl to uncover any hidden issues especially orphan pages or inefficient redirects which can often be missed when building out new content. As a marketing student who’s worked with WordPress, HubSpot, and scheduling tools, I’ve seen firsthand how technical glitches can block great content from ranking.

I’m also setting up automated reports in HubSpot for site speed and mobile usability. This helps me tie SEO fixes directly to goals like reduced bounce rate and better engagement among student audiences. A recent win: after switching several image assets to next-gen formats and enabling browser caching, load time on mobile dropped by nearly half, directly improving my click-through rates from Google.

Always excited to learn more in the On Page and Technical SEO lesson if anyone’s used HubSpot’s SEO recommendations for educational websites, I’d love to hear your results!

To improve my technical SEO, I am going to optimise images and site speed, as well as consider effective meta titles, descriptions and tags with 1-2 relevant keywords per product page and blog post.

Optimizing technical SEO is crucial for better rankings and user experience. Compressing images and enabling browser caching are great steps to improve site speed. Additionally, ensuring mobile-friendliness, fixing broken links, and implementing structured data can further enhance performance.

That’s a smart move. Site speed is one of the most impactful technical SEO factors, directly affecting both user experience and search engine visibility. Compressing images not only reduces page load times but also improves mobile performance, which Google heavily prioritizes. Enabling browser caching ensures returning visitors experience faster loading, increasing engagement and lowering bounce rates.

To take it a step further, you might also consider minimizing unused JavaScript, optimizing your code structure, and implementing a content delivery network (CDN) to enhance performance across regions.
