Improving your technical SEO
At the end of the day, your content is what will boost you to the top of search results. But in order to rank in the first place, you need strong technical SEO. This will also help you avoid inadvertent penalties from Google. Technical SEO is a broad field encompassing many different optimization tactics.
Share one action you're going to take to improve your website's technical SEO.
I'll optimize your site’s technical SEO to ensure that search engines can easily crawl, index, and rank your content. Even the best content needs a solid foundation—and that's where technical SEO comes in. From fixing crawl errors to boosting page speed and mobile usability, these behind-the-scenes improvements can elevate your visibility and help you steer clear of search penalties.
One action I'm going to take to improve my website's technical SEO is to create and submit an XML sitemap to Google Search Console.
This will help ensure that all important pages on my site are properly indexed by search engines, improving their visibility and discoverability in search results. It's a foundational step for better crawling and ranking.
I’m prioritising a clean, crawlable site architecture from the start. Since we’re building from scratch, I want to make sure search engines can easily understand and index our content. That means setting up a logical URL structure, fixing crawl errors early, and making sure performance and mobile experience aren’t an afterthought.
In order to improve our website's ranking I will focus on improving site speed by optimizing images and minimizing code. I'll also make sure our site is crawlable with a clean structure, sitemap and proper internal links. Also, I'll make sure to prioritize a mobile-friendly experience for our users. I think these steps will make a big difference in both visibility and overall user experience.
While it may be trite to say at this point, one action I will take to improve my website's technical SEO is to ensure it is both user-friendly and mobile-friendly. Again, many people say this, but forget about it in the end. So, I do not want to forget, but still remember.
I’ve noticed that my website was being crawled properly before, but recently the crawling activity has dropped significantly. Could you please help me understand what might be causing this issue? Additionally, I would appreciate any guidance on the steps I should take to resolve it and improve crawling again.
