Defining your SEO goals
By setting goals and putting numbers to those goals, you'll be able to figure out whether your SEO efforts are actually paying off. Many businesses will simply say, "We want to rank #1 for this keyword," but that isn't quite enough.
Keeping this in mind, what are the goals for your website?
Do you want to increase organic traffic?
Do you want to increase the number of leads from your website?
Do you want to design a mobile-friendly website?
Or is your goal something completely different?
Share your primary SEO goal in the comments below!

Defining your SEO goals
My primary SEO goal is for Mixiknow which is to increase organic traffic. As a blogging website, visibility and reach are important. I aim to improve my site’s ranking on search engines to attract more readers organically. This, in turn, will enhance the site’s credibility and popularity. Looking forward to learning and growing with all of you!
Hope to achieve my SEO goal after completing this wonderful SEO Course.
My business'es SEO goal is to increase the number of leads by 7% for the next 3 months by optimizing the content on my website, using backlinks and using relevent keywords
To learn and be able to contribute to company's growth. But more importantly build a personal website from ground up and have it on Google's front page.
My goal is to share information about SEO and do my best at correcting misinformation being taught about SEO. This course needs to be corrected as it does have incorrect information. H1 tags not only is a key factor in rankings it is one of the highest factors used. When we talk about keywords, what do you think we are talking about? It is the content on your page right? We are not talking about the meta tags in your header. Okay, so what relavence do you think h1 tags have for your pages or products? Are you aware that for example ecommerce sites use h1 tags for product titles? These product titles are then used for pairing data with searchers. It is conserning that your course instructor would make such a statement as it doesn't only lack logic but is a seriously harmful thing to tell people. Then right after that a statement was made that bounce rate is measured for SEO. Do you guys know what a bound rate is lol? Do you know how this is measured? This is a personal analyitic and has nothing to do with search results. I could make any site have a 0 bounce rate as it is just a personal tool to use to gauge event triggers. These events are set up by you. So for example I could set up my website to trigger an even on page load. This would in theory give me a 0 bounce rate. Ah man then Google must think I am the bees knees right? lol I think you guys are confusing bounce rate with dwell time. These are two completely different things. Please, get this corrected. You can not be an authority on SEO if you are just repeated incorrect information. Maybe get a dev to work with your SEO team because I promise you we know how they work, we design them. This at least goes for the more technical aspects.
As someone new to the industry, I want to have a better understanding of SEO and feel confident in my abilities. Unfortunately, I don't have a mentor in my current company since I was hired as the first marketing coordinator. I have already sought the help of an ad agency who built a new mobile-friendly website and increased paid leads through paid ads, resulting in an increase in organic traffic. Over the past 12 months, website traffic has increased by 111.7% compared to the previous period. My current goal is to continue increasing organic traffic.
My goals for my website is to maximize clicks on my campiaghns that lead to my website because the more clicks i recieve the higher ranked my website will be. I will also want to put mor emoney towards advertising because the more money you spend on advertising the higher ranked your website will also be.
