Defining your SEO goals
By setting goals and putting numbers to those goals, you'll be able to figure out whether your SEO efforts are actually paying off. Many businesses will simply say, "We want to rank #1 for this keyword," but that isn't quite enough.
Keeping this in mind, what are the goals for your website?
Do you want to increase organic traffic?
Do you want to increase the number of leads from your website?
Do you want to design a mobile-friendly website?
Or is your goal something completely different?
Share your primary SEO goal in the comments below!

i am actually starting 2 completely different web businesses and my goals for both is to get exposure and to start bringing in sales rather quickly. I plan on working on posting informative blog posts to work on becoming an authority in both niches so as to gain relevance and authority in both fields.
Setting clear and measurable SEO goals is crucial for determining the success of your efforts. It sounds like you're thinking beyond just keyword rankings and are focused on what those rankings can achieve for your business.
To determine your goals more precisely, consider the following questions:
1. **Do you want to increase organic traffic?** - **If yes:** What is your current monthly traffic, and what percentage or number would you like to increase it by? - Example goal: "Increase organic traffic by 20% over the next 6 months."
2. **Do you want to increase the number of leads from your website?** - **If yes:** How many leads do you currently generate per month, and how much would you like to improve that? - Example goal: "Increase qualified leads by 15% in the next quarter."
3. **Do you want to improve conversion rates?** - **If yes:** What is your current conversion rate (percentage of visitors who take a desired action, such as making a purchase or signing up), and what do you aim to achieve? - Example goal: "Improve website conversion rates from 2% to 3% by optimizing landing pages."
4. **Are you focusing on a mobile-friendly website?** - **If yes:** Is your website already responsive or mobile-optimized? How does your mobile traffic compare to desktop traffic? Would improving mobile user experience drive conversions? - Example goal: "Increase mobile traffic by 25% and reduce mobile bounce rate by optimizing page load speed."
5. **Is brand visibility a priority?** - **If yes:** Do you want to build your brand’s recognition in search results? For example, appearing in local packs, featured snippets, or improving non-branded search visibility. - Example goal: "Appear in top 3 results for 5 major non-branded keywords in 6 months."
6. **Do you have e-commerce goals, such as increasing sales?** - **If yes:** What are your current sales, and what is your revenue target for the next period? You may want to track this for specific products or categories. - Example goal: "Increase online sales by 10% over the next quarter by targeting high-intent search queries."
7. **Is your goal to reduce dependency on paid search (PPC) or paid traffic?** - **If yes:** What percentage of traffic comes from paid ads, and how much do you want to shift toward organic traffic over time? - Example goal: "Reduce PPC budget by 20% while maintaining or increasing traffic levels by improving organic SEO performance."
8. **Do you want to dominate a niche or industry-specific search terms?** - **If yes:** What niche or industry-specific keywords do you want to rank for, and how do you measure success in terms of industry authority? - Example goal: "Rank in the top 5 for 10 industry-specific keywords in the next 6 months."
9. **Are you targeting local SEO to drive foot traffic to a physical location?** - **If yes:** How much of your business comes from local customers? How would improving your local search presence affect that? - Example goal: "Increase foot traffic by 15% by optimizing for local search terms and improving Google My Business presence."
With these in mind, which of these goals aligns with your business objectives, or is there a more specific target you want to set? This will help tailor the SEO strategy to your needs, making sure every effort is measurable and actionable.
I CHQ your website here is some suggestions for you:
you need to focus on web site Design for good user experience. website seems messy. in mobile view there is extra white space which is bad so Mobile user ........
On my end the SEO Goal would be to acquire 40 new leads per month for the next 6 months while converting at least 10 of these per month as well. It would also be to rank for the top 5 industry buzz words consistently from a more organic approach for at least 1 year consistently.
Mainly the goal is to increase the visibility of the website on SERP and increase the organic traffic of the website as well if clients want leads then we also will be focusing on lead generation.
