I have some reports based on custom datasets that suddenly have a yellow "Limited Data" flag on them. The info on it says "Data is limited to 1,000 rows. Add filters or set limits to limit the size of your dataset." Does this mean the report is not utilizing all of the data? I'm finding the messaging confusing and need confirmation that the reports are still valid. Thanks!
To clarify - there are reporting limits to custom reports as mentioned in this article, which is why the message appears in your report. For increased performance, non-table reports are limited to 1,000 unique rows of data. To reduce the number of rows in a report, it's recommended to add filters to make your data more specific or use dimensions that have a lower number of unique values (for example, multiple select type properties). Table reports are paginated and can contain more than 1,000 rows.
Thanks! The thing is -- it says "non-table reports are limited to 1,000 rows". If I convert this from a pivot table to a regular table, I get all of the exact same information...so what is the point of this warning? Neither table will ever actually have more than 1,000 rows, it's not set up that way, which is why this is so confusing.
Could you kindly clarify whether the issue you're experiencing is that the pagination of the Table data is not visible, or if the "limited" flag is appearing when using the table? I would appreciate it if you could provide more details regarding whether the concern is related to the way the data is displayed or how the pagination is functioning. Also would it be possible for you to share a screenshot showing this behavior? It would be very helpful for investigating and better understanding the issue.
