Is it possible to capture the stage a deal is in when it goes to closed lost?
Use case: To see trend by rep of what stage a deal is in when it is moved to closed lost. Id rep sticking points or reps who are not using the pipeline stages correctly
The deal stage funnel will show you this assuming your stages are being followed. But if the funnel is not working properly because stages are not being followed, this is not something out of the box and you will need to setup custom deal properties and workflows to capture this. For instance, anytime a Deal Stage is updated, you capture this via a workflow into a custom property and if the deal stage moves to closed lost, you can just copy your most recent deal stage to have it in a property for reporting.
You should be able to make a waterfall report to figure out what stages someone is going to or skipping, but I don't think that will help with reps not using stages correctly. What is the underlying issue that you are experiencing with this?
