Report on WHEN a contact has opted in to a specific subscription

SOLVE

At the moment, the only way to view contacts who have opted in to a specific subscription type is by creating a list. This is only useful if you want a total number of people subscribed.

 

We want to be able to report on the number of people who subscribed per month, while we can create a report and filter by the list, the only date range option we have is Create Date and not all contacts subscribe at the same time as they are created, so this data is inaccurate. We need a property to filter by "email subscription opted in date".

This can be achieved with a custom date property and a simple workflow but you're right, it's not there out of the box. Here's how you would set this up:

@karstenkoehler thanks for your reply and yes this does work however in larger portals with several business units this causes challenges as you have to create multiple fields and workflows. But yes, for smaller portals we have used this option before 🙂
