Recording Error - Organic Google Job Traffic as Paid Search

I've noticed that there are some "Paid Search" visits coming in through our clients' portals, even when they don't do any paid ads. Upon further investigation, I saw that this was from Paid Search > google_jobs_apply.

These clients don't do any paid ads for these job positions. They are pages we've created with the schema markup to have their open positions show in Google's job search.

HubSpot, please fix this so this traffic comes in as organic search.

Hey @chaddiller I"d recommend getting in direct contact with HubSpot Support so that they can troubleshoot further.

Hey, @chaddiller I've reviewed the ticket you opened with the Support Team.

In this ticket, the Customer Support Specialist shared the following knowledge base article: How does HubSpot categorize sessions, contacts, and customers in the sources report?

The article explains that Paid Search is applied both to sessions from paid search ads that are either automatically identified by HubSpot and/or links set by tracking URLs.

Therefore the behavior you are currently seeing is working as designed. I have passed your feedback from the original support ticket on to the Product team but would further advised posting this as a feature request on ideas.hubspot.com so that other customers can vote for it if they are experiencing the same issue.
