Latest/Original Source no longer working

SOLVE

HubSpot is identifying all of our leads as having a Direct Traffic source for both Original and Latest. We have other tools to show us that this is incorrect. And it's also pretty obvious when a visitor is listed as Direct Traffic and then the URL is like a long blog post title that I (the content creator) wouldn't even be able to type in.

This has made attribution very cumbersome. According to HubSpot, we havent had a non Direct Traffic conversion in 6 weeks.

Hi @PCoe3,

Have you checked whether the HubSpot tracking code is still installed correctly and working? https://knowledge.hubspot.com/reports/install-the-hubspot-tracking-code

Have you checked the console on your website, when loading the page, accepting the cookies, that the tracking code is actually executing and HubSpot cookies are set?

Best regards

Hi @PCoe3

Like @karstenkoehler said, tracing code actually firing is the first thing I check.

In addition, ensure that cross-domain linking has been activated in your account and that all your sites have the HubSpot tracking code on them.
