I want to create a report that shows the number of contacts subscribed to each subscription type

Hi @LFHardy,

As far as I know, there isn't any way to do this directly. This will require additional custom properties and workflows.

For the overall number of subscribed users, I'd recommend creating a list of contacts who are subscribed to that particular subscription type, then creating a simple KPI chart type report that shows the count of contacts, filtered by membership in this list.

For over-time visualizations, you'll need to create a custom date property that is set by a contact-based workflow when an opt-in occurs. This information will populate from the point that you set the workflow live and it's unfortunately not possible to get this information historically. When you set this workflow live, you can decide to enroll all contacts, with existing contacts all getting today's date as opt-in date - or not enrolling existing contacts which means your over-time report would start at 0 contacts.

Once you have the date property, you can visualize the count of contacts by this date property, using a cumulative line chart, for example.

Best regards!

Great instructions @karstenkoehler!
Which property do you use for the x-axis of the cumulative line chart?
Whenever I choose one of the subscription type's "subscription date" property, the whole report will naturally only show subscribers of that type and the related date accordingly. Adding the other types to "breakdown by" will show only additional subscriptions of the contacts.
Your thoughts are much appreciated 🙂
