How to Properly Sort a Score Property in a Report?
SOLVE
Hi everyone,
I’m having some trouble with creating a report and was hoping to get some advice from the community.
What I’m Trying to Do: I want to create a report that shows the number of contacts (meeting certain criteria) along with their "Quality Score." The score is intended to reflect the completeness of the relevant contact properties on a scale of 0-100.
What I’ve Done So Far: I created a Score Property to represent the quality score. To create a vertical bar chart, I had to convert the score (which is a number) into a string using a formula property. This allowed me to display the scores on the x-axis.
The Issue: The problem I’m facing is with sorting the scores on the x-axis. Since the scores are now strings, they’re being sorted lexicographically, so "100" ends up between "10" and "20," instead of at the end where it should be.
Question: Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a better way to sort these scores correctly while still displaying them in a bar chart? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

I just identified the issue: I was using a Single Object Report.
With the Custom Report Builder, unlike the Single Object Report Builder, I’m able to reference two number properties in a vertical chart. I hadn’t realized the difference before.
@kennedyp thank you for your help and for pointing out that it’s possible!

Hi @SimonSchubert! Welcome to the Community-- happy to have you here 😊
I am curious how your Quality Score is configured. As a test, I created a graph with the score on the x-axis using the default HubSpot Score property and without converting it using a formula. These show in order of score total-- here are some screenshots of the configuration and visualization:
I wonder if we can make it work with the Score property without the calculation. Can you provide some more details and maybe screenshots of how you have the score properties configured?
Best, Kennedy
