Exporting a list of unsubscribes

SOLVE

I'd like to export a list of contacts in Hubspot which gives me the following information:

- Email address

- Date opted-out / unsubscribed

- Email they opted-out of

- Business unit (or be able to run the report using a specific business unit)

The report I've managed to export so far just gives the email they opted-out of and the email address.

Is this possible please?

Exporting a list of unsubscribes

SOLVE

Hi @SBell2009,

Happy to help here. Unfortunately, I don't think you'll be able to get all information in one report / export / list.

Unless you set up a workflow that stamps the unsubscribe date, this information is only available through the property history (https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/organize-and-export-properties#export-a-property-s-historica...) or a custom report on the source "Marketing email activities", looking at "Subscription status updates". It's unfortunately not documented at all whether this is pulling in subscription type opt-outs or an unsubscribe from all email so I'd rather look at the property history (previous link).

For the email they unsubscribed of, one workaround could be creating a report of unsubscribed contacts and visualizing the "Last marketing email name" (contact property). Keep in mind that this could include transactional emails which are also sent to unsubscribed contacts.

Regarding business units: A full unsubscribe is unfortunately only documented for the main business unit (this is a current limitation in HubSpot). An unsubscribe only affects the main business unit but not additional business units. For additional business units, a manual opt out of all subscription types is required.

Hope this helps!
